2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you access the site, technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) is processed in server logs. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). A data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses is in place with Vercel.

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, the details you enter (name, e-mail, optionally company and phone, topic, message) are sent to me by e-mail and stored to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You receive an automatic acknowledgement. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Cookies and local storage

Technically necessary: your browser's local storage holds your theme choice (light/dark), your language choice and your decision in the cookie banner (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). This data never leaves your device.

Marketing: the Meta Pixel is loaded only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner (next section). Without your consent no tracking or marketing cookies are set and no analytics services are used.

5. Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)

With your consent I use the Meta Pixel on this website, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland (“Meta”). It is used to measure the effect of my advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show ads to people who may be interested in my services.

Data processed: on each page view (“PageView” event) and after the contact form has been sent successfully (“Lead” event, without any form content), in particular the IP address, browser and device information, the page visited, the referring page, the time and cookie identifiers (_fbp, where applicable _fbc) are transmitted to Meta. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may link the visit to your account.

The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Meta and I are joint controllers for collecting and transmitting the data to Meta (Art. 26 GDPR); the agreement is available at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Meta alone is responsible for any further processing.

Meta may transfer data to the USA. Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR).

The _fbp cookie is stored for up to 90 days. More information: Meta's privacy policy, https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – via “Cookie settings” in the footer or the button below. On withdrawal the pixel cookies of this website are deleted.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
